ISCE Funds Study on Ethical Implications of Generative AI

The Institute for Society, Culture, and the Environment (ISCE) has awarded an $11,050 grant to study ethical dilemmas surrounding generative AI through public discourse analysis. This collaborative project with Dr. Sweta Baniya (English) and Dr. Qin Zhu (Engineering Education) at Virginia Tech will examine how the public discusses and understands ethical challenges posed by generative AI technologies. The study aims to provide insights into societal perspectives on AI ethics through analysis of social media and public discourse.
