NBME Funds Development of Health Systems Citizenship Assessment

The National Board of Medical Examiners has awarded a $149,926 grant for a project titled "Operationalizing, Validating, and Scaling Health Systems Citizenship Assessment in Undergraduate Medical Education." This collaborative project with Drs. Mutcheson and Karp (Carilion School of Medicine), and Grohs (Engineering Education) at Virginia Tech will focus on developing assessment tools for medical student education, specifically targeting health systems citizenship competencies.
