Dr. Katz Receives NSF CAREER Grant for Characterizing Mental Models of Generative AI in Engineering

We are excited to announce that the Dr. Katz has received an NSF CAREER grant focused on characterizing the mental models of generative AI in engineering. This five-year project will involve working with engineering faculty members across the country to understand their mental models of generative artificial intelligence and how it informs their assessment-related decisions in their courses. As part of the project, we will also developing new methods of studying and characterizing mental models.
