Dr. Katz receives NSF CAREER award to characterize mental models of generative AI in engineering

Dr. Katz has received an NSF CAREER grant to characterize the mental models of generative AI in engineering. Over five years, the project will work with engineering faculty across the country to understand how they think about generative artificial intelligence and how that thinking informs the assessment decisions they make in their courses. The project will also develop new methods for studying and characterizing mental models.
